This wiki is intended to act as a prototype for demonstration of how the future BIF Guidelines may work as it is transitioned from a printed publication to a wiki. It is not meant to be a definitive organization of the information nor a complete document.
This wiki is the under development. It will become the replacement for the BIF Guidelines for Uniform Beef Improvement. Published since 1981, the Guidelines has been the defacto standards document for beef improvement programs including genetic evaluation in North America.
 
Only example sections are included here and the final document's content and organization should be organically grown by the community of BIF participants.
 
It is proposed that Dr. Lauren Hyde act as the primary editor and that she, working with the BIF committee identify an initial set of up to a dozen topic editors to begin growing the content.
